I specialise in undertaking complex investigations through uncertainty, carrying out detailed analysis, and reporting structured findings appropriately.
Recent experience has focused on the regulated utilities of energy and water operating at the intersection of IT and operational technology, and particularly to design cyber-security measures. However, I have a much wider industry exposure including higher education, finance, transport infrastructure, manufacturing, petrochems and family office, as well as a military background. Additionally, I've co-launched a successful publishing house and written ten books, mentored third sector boards via the Olympic charity Sported, served on a technical panel for a UK regulator and managed two high-risk extractions through the former CIS (one described here).
Accreditations include ITIL, Prince2, MCSE and Certified Expert Witness.
I'm chartered and an ambassador with the British Computing Society, an associate of the Expert Witness Institute, and a member of ISACA. The company is also registered with the Information Commissioners Office.
